Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover!

We have seen this man many times making jewelry beside the rode but passed him by because of his...sketchy appearance. Every time I admired his work. Today we decided to stop just to look at his intricate handmade jewelry. When we did we found out he speaks very good English and is actually extremely nice! He let me pick out the materials I liked and watch him make me a custom ring. He gave me an amazing price. And we left him a tract and invited him to the meeting. I really hope he comes. This experience really backed up a saying we've all heard for years : DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!
                                                      Thanks for reading!

A Worldwide Brotherhood

January 28, 2014

From left to right where they are from: Australia, Australia, England, England, Maine USA
It's amazing how you can be in one part of the world and meet so many other Witnesses. Each and every one who you meet is loving, immediately hugging you and getting to know you and your background. Jehovah's Organization is truly worldwide erasing all borders: racial, different backgrounds, and literal.

A Beautiful View

January 21, 2014
Not only beautiful from a physical perspective, but also from a spiritual. If you look on the right of the photo you'll see two people standing there. The one in the blue, a brother from the states, and the one in green, a local who speaks English. A short presentation developed into a doorstep study. They sat on the side of the road looking over a chapter in the Good News from God Brochure. The young man greatly enjoying what he was learning. A visit is scheduled for the next week.

Rural territory means good conversations.

A: On Wednesday we have a rural territory!
B: Oh really? I did not know it! People there made time to talk about spiritual things even If they are busy.

Around 1 month ago we had to do a rural territory in my congregation, the name of the territory is Fortin, in Granada. It is usually hard to talk with them sometimes because some of the the people there cannot read, so what we usually use to teach the Good News it is the brochure "Listen to God".
People it is really interested to get closed to Jehovah and this information help a lot!
They do understand what the Bible says just with the pictures. One day a householder talking about this information says: "It is like a story in my head, I can hear the voices of the characters and that made me remember what I am learning"
Of course after a while they will learn to read and in that way they would learn the Bible teaching even better than before.
My friend Rossana using the brochure "Listen to God".

Most of the people that lives in the Fortin are friendly and respectful. One time I start to talk with a man about family and how we can deal with our differences to have a peaceful environment in house, he was so exciting with what he learnt that invited to his wife to join in the conversation.

Thanks for reading.

¡Hola Hermano!

After a  nice long morning in the ministry yesterday we took a taxi into León. We asked him how he was. Somehow he saw Renee's magazines and then he had Renee get his Reasoning Book out of the glove compartment. He told us he had just been baptized this last weekend! Its so wonderful to have a new brother in the organization. Welcome Joaquin to this wonderful brotherhood! Welcome!
